Noyyal river is unfit for human use

A report submitted by national environment engineering research institute have said that the water sample that has been taken from noyyal river has been tested, and the report says that it exceeds the acceptable pollution level.

The Noyyal river, originating in the Vellingiri Hills of the Western Ghats, flows for about 175 km through Coimbatore, Erode and Karur districts before joining the Cauvery river near Noyyal village. Chemical and toxic effluents discharged into the Orathanadu dam by bleaching and dyeing units have affected groundwater in more than 95 villages in the districts of Erode and Karur. There are about 720 dyeing units in the region.

The wastes and harmful chemicals from this dying units have spoiled this good water and similarly due to pollution many rivers have been polluted. people will get aware only when the last drop of water gets polluted. so stop polluting the world and love your earth as yourselves and save our earth from global warming.
