160 noise monitorins stations are going to be set up across the country by next year and it was the decision made by the government pollution control. The pollution control watchdog's chairman S.P. Gautam said "We want to cover the entire country as far as monitoring the noise level is concerned". Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) member secretary J.S. Kamyotra said that "The information will be available to people through the CPCB website on real time basis".  we hope that by next year some amount of hig decibel noises will be reduced. so my dear people, event though government pu lots of plans and improvements towards any thing, it is our responsibility and duty to make any plans or policies of government into a sucess one. so prevent global warming and also prvent noise pollution as it cause adverse effects. work hard for a noise free india.

'Pollutech India 2010 'has begun in the banglore city

To increase awareness on space pollution, a two day seminar and expo on environment and pollution has begun in banglore city. "To combat the ill effects of pollution, Krishna J. Palemar, minister for ports and environment, said the ministry will set up a botanical garden near Pilukula Nisargadhama in Mangalore at a cost of Rs 15 crore". All types of pollution are intend to highlight in this seminar

mangroves are the plant that survives high salinity, strong wind velocity, high temperature and muddy anaerobic soil.  it constitute a bridge between terrestrial and marine eco system. mangroves prevents coastal erosion and it enhance the fishery and serve as a food web. At the Lord Nataraja temple at Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu, the mangrove tree Excoecaria agallocha, locally known as Thaillai, has been worshipped as a temple tree- Sthala vruksha. mangrove forests act as a shelter belt against cyclones. so my friends please preserve this and save this trees and plants. stop deforestation we are destroying many trees that are very useful to the environment. what we achieve through deforestation is nothing, only we are facing global warming.

Air monitoring system in kashmir

 Kathua’s industrial area is in Kashmir and this region has hundreds of factories that cause air and sound pollution. India’s State Pollution Control Board has just set up an air quality monitoring system in Indian Kashmir and this machine will check air pollution on a daily basis and record the pollution 24 hrs/day.

Large animals are in danger!

Recently a census was taken in marine life and it has found that large sea animals and marine mammals have declined 90% and the most endangered species are blue whale and sea turtle.  The species are in danger due to the decline of phytoplankton and more consumption of sea food by human beings. A research was conducted by 2,700 scientists in 80 counties across the world.

• try to avoid the crackers that are too sound as it can cause irritation to old people. 
• mainly try to avoid rocket, as in India, it have burnt lots of small huts that have hatched with leaves. 
• especially when you burst the night crackers throw it in a safe place where others dont have the possibility to get hurt. 
• whenever you burst crackers, see whether others are around or near you and if anyone came all of a sudden, try to stop them.
• 90% try to avoid crackers since more child labors are involved in it.

If no action is taken to save tigers, definitely the tiger will be gone in 12 years of time predicts the world wildlife fund. Despite their endangered status the parts of the tiger are used for various medicines, clothing and more. China feels the hot global warming

There were floods in China itself. Fires and unprecedented hot weather raged through Siberia and other parts of Russia, including a formerly glacial area north of China. In any case, one could easily surmise many likely consequences of global warming around China. Tibetan glaciers could slowly melt, causing floods in all directions: in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Indochina, along the Mekong River, and then in China proper. Whole areas in South Asia - possibly large parts of  Bangladesh Could be flooded.

Land would then materially shrink in regions that are already some of the most densely populated and the poorest on the globe.

DR. Manmohan Singh called for group efforts to fight against the global warming

The India Prime Minister DR. Manmohan Singh called for collective scientific efforts to combat global challenges, including climate change. Dr. Singh said developing countries lack a well organized system besides facing problems of shortages of skilled manpower and appropriate research facilities to cater to the needs of modern day challenges. He appealed to the advanced scientific community to join hands with the developing world by pooling together the resources and wisdom to fight transnational problems like diseases, hunger, poverty and the adverse impact of global warming. "Under the IBSA framework, there has been a series of collaborative activities in science and technology including in ocean research, space sciences, biotechnology, agriculture, health, climate change, nano-technology and cooperation in the Antarctica," he added.

A new study indicates, that the populous country will face severe drought in the next thirty years. If the pro­jec­tions “come even close to be­ing real­ized, the con­se­quenc­es for so­ci­e­ty world­wide will be enor­mous,” said Aiguo Dai of the U.S. Na­tional Cen­ter for At­mos­pher­ic Re­search in Boul­der, Co­lo., who con­ducted the re­search. The research shows that global warming will create an increasing dryness across the globe that is ever seen in modern times.

Cigarette smoke pollutes air

Cigarette smoke, most of you might have thought it doesn’t pollute the environment. As a cigarette burns and its smoke is released, tiny particles of the more than 4,000 chemicals packed into the cigarette are released into the air. Cigarette Smoke is Not Clean, while some of the chemicals found in cigarettes are burned off during the smoking process, many survive and even more are created. Arsenic and tar, for example, cannot be broken down by the heat of the cigarette; these chemicals are simply carried into the air as particulates in the cigarette's smoke.

The actual process of smoking, too, generates additional dangerous compounds such as carbon monoxide; the creation of these gasses further pollutes the air around a burning cigarette. he smoke that is inhaled by the smoker can not be totally absorbed by the lungs, so it is released with small amounts of the original pollutants plus trace amounts of the smoker's bodily fluids. 

The particles float upward on the cigarette's smoke and they dissipate into the surrounding air to produce pollution. Many of the particles and bodily fluids produced during the smoking process are short lived, so the greatest pollution effect is in the area immediately surrounding the smoker.  So my dear friends and brothers who smoke, please stop smoking, as it not only pollutes the environment, it also make a harmful impact on your health.

Global warming leads to milk loss production

Can anyone believe that due to global warming, the production of milk got affected and a research says that nearly 2% of the milk loss production is what the India loses? "The estimated annual loss at present due to heat stress among cattle and buffaloes at the all-India level is 1.8 million tonnes, that is nearly two per cent of the total milk production in the country," said RC Upadhaya, Principal Scientist, and Animal Physiology at National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI). While high THI index had UP, the largest producer of milk in the country, lose 25.4 million tonnes a year, Tamil Nadu was losing 23.8 million tonnes followed by Rajasthan, Bihar, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Haryana, he said.

Similar research works on the subject in the USA, Brazil, Germany, France, UK and Australia have also pointed to similar results, the NDRI scientist said.

Asteroid impact could damage the earth protective layer

A new computer simulation suggests that the water vapor and sea salt thrown up by the impact could damage the protective ozone layer, leading to record levels of ultraviolet radiation that could threaten human civilization. Elisabetta Pierazzo of the Planetary Science Institute in Tucson, Arizona, and colleagues used a global climate model to study how water vapor and sea salt thrown up from an impact will affect ozone levels for years after the event. Some simulated impacts created depletions that were still felt across the whole Earth a year later.

Ancient wheat and corn varieties survive the global warming

Scientists in Mexico have found that ancient wheat and corn varieties have particular drought-and heat-resistant traits. So, researchers at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center in El Batan are developing new strains which they can cross with plants grown from the ancient seeds. They hope these plants can fight off the ill effects of rising temperatures and the new plants are inheriting traits from the old seeds such as longer roots that suck up water and a capacity to store more nutrients in their stalks.

Pacific walrus are at risk

As many as 15,000 walruses began crowding the shore near Point Lays, Alaska, in August and are just starting to disperse as ice forms in chilly fall weather, federal biologists said. Like polar bears, walruses are suffering because of a scarcity of summer and fall sea ice in Arctic waters that scientists attribute to climate change.  And like polar bears, which were listed as threatened in 2008, protections under the Endangered Species Act may be granted to walruses, even though it is hard to get an accurate count of their population.
